I am fascinated by how cells integrate signals in their environment to make critical decisions about fate.

Focusing on a group of widely-expressed genes from the 'HLH' family, we are studying how information about extracellular signals might be encoded dynamically and processed by interactions among these genes. 

Outside of work, I enjoy boardgames, tennis, ultimate frisbee, karaoke and crossfit.
